Michele Wucker is author of Lockout: Why America Keeps Getting Immigration Wrong

When Our Prosperity Depends on Getting It Right and Why the Cocks Fight: Dominicans, Haitians, and the Struggle for Hispaniola. Wucker is co-director of the Immigrant Voting Project and Director of the Program on Citizenship & Security. She specializes in immigration and assimilation, transnational political processes, the politics of culture, Latin America and the Caribbean, and international finance and debt crisis. She is a graduate of Rice University and of Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs.

3. Columbia Political Review Meet & Greet and Article Pitches

The Columbia Political Review's first meeting of the year will be this Monday night (September 18) at 8:30pm in Hamilton 602 . There will be pizza, and we would love to see you there. Both pitches for our October issue and board applications are due by e-mail on Tuesday (September 19) at midnight. The meeting is a great time to ask questions about this. Not registered? Come fill out or pick up registration forms on College Walk all day on Wednesday September 27 and Thursday September 28. You can register either in New York or your home state.
