1. The CPU Presents: Jason Furman, Director for Economic Policy,
Kerry-Edwards 2004

Description: Jason Furman is a Visiting Scholar at New York
University's Wagner School and a Non-resident Senior Fellow at the
Center on Budget and Policy Priorities. Furman works on a wide
range of economic issues, including Social Security, tax reform,
and budgetary issues.
Previously, Furman served as Special Assistant to the President for
Economic Policy in the Clinton Administration. Furman has been a
visiting lecturer at Columbia and Yale Universities. In addition,
he served as a Staff Economist at the Council of Economic Advisers,
Senior Economic Adviser to the Chief Economist of the World Bank,
and Director of Economic Policy for the Kerry-Edwards campaign. He
received his Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University.

OTHER ANNOUNCEMENTS:
3. Work for Kate Browning on Election Day
Kate Browning is the Democratic and Working Families Party candidate
for the third district seat of the Suffolk County Legislature. Her
opponent is the Republican Majority Leader of the Count
Legislature.
Ms. Browning has focused on providing more low-income and affordable
housing, and supports the Fair Share for Health Care bill, which
would force large employers to pay $3/hr health care per employee
per hour worked.
Ms. Browning was recently endorsed by Newsday, the text of which is

The Browning campaign is seeking volunteers for the several days
left before Election Day. The campaign will pay $100 for full day
shifts, and $50 for shorter shifts, with work available from
Friday, 11/4 to Monday, 11/7.
