Location: 304 Hamilton Hall Description: Born in Nanjing, China to missionary parents, AMBASSADOR J. STAPLETON ROY joined the United States Foreign Service in 1956. Mr. Roy spent much of his career in Asia, where he ultimately served as Ambassador to three different countries -- Singapore, China, and Indonesia -- before becoming the Assistant Secretary of State for Intelligence and Research. Mr. Roy was also posted to Moscow during the height of the Cold War. He is now the managing director of Kissinger Associates.
