Jerold Nadler

New York Congressman Jerrold Nadler is seeking interns for the 2005 summer semester. Interns will assist in the preparation of floor statements, speeches, bills, press releases, and amendments. Perform research at the Library of Congress and respond to information requests from constituents. Attend briefings, hearings, and special events where you will have the opportunity to meet with members of Congress, members of the Cabinet, and leaders of industry and the press. Gain valuable Hill experience and learn about the federal legislative process. Interns are also responsible for assisting in sorting incoming mail, greeting visitors, and answering the telephone.

Congressman Jerrold Nadler represents New York 's 8th Congressional District, which includes the residents of most of Manhattan 's west side and sections of Brooklyn.

Congressman Nadler serves on the Judiciary Committee and on the Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

Lloyd Doggett

The Office of Congressman Lloyd Doggett (D-TX) has internship opportunities available. Qualified candidates must possess strong computer skills, the ability to multi-task, and a professional and friendly demeanor. The ability to speak Spanish is a plus. Interns will have the opportunity to conduct legislative research, assist with administrative tasks, work with legislative staff, and provide constituent services. Howard Berman

The office of Rep. Howard Berman (D-CA) is seeking an intern. The internship will begin as soon as possible and generally last 3 months. Duties include answering phones, distributing mail and faxes, drafting constituent letters, attending congressional hearings and briefings, leading Capitol tours, and other miscellaneous tasks. Ability to work 4 days/week required. NO GRADUATE STUDENTS/LAW STUDENTS. ONLY UNDERGRADS/RECENT GRADS WILL BE CONSIDERED.
