1. Presidential Debate Watch Party TONIGHT
10/8 at 9:00 pm
Second Floor Piano Lounge, Alfred Lerner Hall
Join your fellow students as we get together to watch the second
Presidential debate.
Pizza and soda will be served.

2. Lecture and Discussion with Congressman Charles Rangel SUNDAY
10/10 at 2:00 pm
Satow Room, Alfred Lerner Hall
Congressman Charles B. Rangel is serving his 17th term as the
Representative from the 15th Congressional District, comprising
East and Central Harlem, the Upper West Side, and Washington
Heights/Inwood. Congressman Rangel is the ranking member on the
Committee on Ways and Means, Deputy Democratic Whip of the House
of Representatives, a Chairman of the Board of the Democratic
Congressional Campaign Committee, Dean of the New York State
Congressional Delegation, in addition, Congressman Rangel is a
founding member and former Chairman of the Congressional Black
Caucus.
Likely topics of discussion include the upcoming local and national
elections, reinstituting the draft, and Columbia's expansion into
Manhattanvile.

3. Vote (The Concert)
10/9 at 5:00 pm

Come to Vote (the Concert) this Saturday and here some of the best
Columbia and NYU bands play!
Oxytocin, Anton Glamb, L'Homme Run, and the Folk from Columbia and
Paris Grey, Quintus, Tigers!, and the XYZ Affair from NYU will duke
it out in front of a celebrity panel of judges including Rockwilder,
Chris Berry, Emil Wilbeken, and more. Vote via text message for
your favortite band...and don't forget to vote on November 2nd.

4. Voter Registration
Today (Friday, October 8th) is the last day to register to vote in
New York. The Columbia Political Union will be tabling today from
11:00 am to 2:00 pm on College Walk. You can also find voter
registration information and links to registration forms at the
Office of Government Affairs voter registration page:
www.columbia.edu/cu/fedrel/vote.htm.

Our Presidential and local election guide is here. You can find it

also be able to find it in paper form in your mailbox and around
campus in late October.
