Patrick Guerriero has devoted his career to public service. This

Guerriero has championed issues including lower taxes, smaller
government, improved public schools, safer neighborhoods, and equal
rights. In addition, he has advocated for anti-hate-crimes
legislation, HIV/AIDS funding, and proposals to give recognition
and protection to gay and lesbian families. At Log Cabin, Guerriero
has built coalitions with other gay and lesbian
organizationsworking with people across the ideological spectrum
to develop a bipartisan strategy for achieving equality.
Guerriero is a dedicated Republican activist and political adviser
to several Massachusetts governors, including Governors William
Weld, Paul Cellucci, and Jane Swift.

4. CPU’s Columbia College Student Council Endorsement
Having met with both groups running for Columbia College Student
Council (CCSC), the Columbia Political Union (CPU) Executive Board
announces its endorsement of the INNOVATION party for the CCSC
Executive Committee.
Both groups presented their platforms to the Executive Board, and
our decision was based on those presentations. In addition to
thoughtfully and ably answering our follow-up questions, INNOVATION
delivered a clear, concise, and well-planned presentation.
INNOVATION's presentation, and the platform articulated in it, made
evident its commitment to aiding student groups in our efforts to
enhance and expand our on-campus activities. The CPU Executive
Board is dedicated to constantly improving the programming that we
offer to our membership and so welcome the financial and
administrative support that INNOVATION has pledged. The CPU
Executive Board reaffirms that this support is a fundamental
responsibility of the CCSC Executive Committee.
Thus, while both groups impressed us with their platforms and
experience, the CPU Executive Board found the INNOVATION party
better suited to serve our members and the Columbia community as a
whole and we here endorse the INNOVATION team for the CCSC
Executive Committee.
