(2)     HELP THE CPU WIN THE KINGS CROWN IMPACT AWARD

After three and a half years of serving the Columbia Community, the Columbia Political Union will be nominated for the Kings Crown Impact Award.  The Award is given to the student organization that has had the most significant impact on the campus community during 2002-03 academic year, and we need your help to win it.

This year, alone, the CPU has hosted (or will host) Senators George Mitchell and Orrin Hatch; NYC School Chancellor Joel Klein; ABCNEWS’ Claire Shipman; former White House press secretary Joe Lockheart; former Secretary William Bennett; expert panels on foreign news coverage, rebuilding Lower Manhattan, the midterm elections, and rebuilding Iraq; and student debates on the State of the Union speech and pending war in Iraq, as well as others (with several more big speakers to be announced in the next two weeks).  Oh, and did I mention that we publish a quintennial magazine, The Columbia Political Review?

Please take a moment to nominate the CPU for the Impact Award at http://www.studentaffairs.columbia.edu/sda/leadership/kingscrown.php
