Biography

WALEED ZIAD is a student of political history, currently writing a bookon the ideology and history of Deobandi militancy in South Asia. His articles on Near East political history have appeared in the NY Times, International Herald Tribune, and major Pakistani dailies. Mr. Ziad graduated from Yale University, with a degree in Near Eastern studies and Economic Development. He currently works as an economic consultant based in Montreal, Quebec.
