Constitutional Amendments - 2005

The following amendments to the constitution were passed in April 2005, amending the 2002 constitution to its 2005 form. Pursuant to Article 5, all amendments were voted upon by the governing board and agreed to by at least 75% of the board.

  1. Article 2, Section 2, part D shall be revised to read:

    A Publisher will coordinate the financing, production, content, editing, and distribution of all CPU sponsored pamphlets, fliers, election guides, etc., excluding the Columbia Political Review.

  2. Article 2, Section 2, part G shall be created to read:

    An Editor-in-Chief of the Columbia Political Review will coordinate the financing, production, content, editing and distribution of the Columbia Political Review.

  3. Article 2, Section 2, part H shall be created to read:

    A General Manager Ex-Officio will serve in the event that the outgoing General Manager is not a graduating senior. A General Manager Ex-Officio will be a non-voting Executive Committee member. The General Manager Ex-Officio will serve in a purely advisory capacity, with the ability to take on projects at the discretion of the General Manager. The General Manager Ex-Officio will not in any way be the head of representative of the organization unless at the discretion of the General Manager.

  4. Article 2, Section 5 shall be revised to read:

    Each recognized member of the Executive Committee will have one vote (with the exception of the general Manager Ex-Officio).
